recommended brake pads

can those of you with aftermarket pads give me your opinion on them? i am interested in them for light track (road course) use. it would be great if you have experence with different brands. thanks

I've had the EBC greenstuff pads on all 4 corners for about a week now. I notice I stop shorter and apply less pressure on the brakes to stop. I haven't tried any other pads so can't comment on Porterfields, Axis, etc. The EBC's are made of kevlar and are also supposed to have -0-dust and are kind to the rotors.

I have had porterfield R4 and KVR's now. The porterfields are great for track use and light street use, but they grind and squeal something awful. for 9/10's the performance, the KVR's are great for street use and light track use. Cheap as hell too. Great pedal feel and great stopping.

I have had the KVR Carbon Kevlar pads on for about 6k and love them. They are very kind to the x-drilled KVR/Brembo rotors and stop great even when used hard repeatedly. Lo-dust too

Maybe I got a bad batch, but my EBC's are dusting like crazy. Very easy to notice on my Konig Villains. I am going to call and talk to them about it.

I believe Brian Hasty(hybrid board) said that the EBC greens dust like crazy, though very easy on your discs.

I can't imagine how EBC's would be dust free as some people have said.

If they only last 20k mi, stop well, and are rotor friendly, that could only equal dusting to me.

Guess I'll see how they are when I put mine on.
